Review of Jean Paul Gaultier ‘Le Musée’ Spring 2022 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Florence Tetier with Photographer Elizaveta Porodina
Jean Paul Gaultier celebrates legendary art and the women who inspire it with a new campaign for its “Le Musée” collection, captured by photographer Elizaveta Porodina with art direction by Florence Tetier.
JPG’s new “Le Musée” collection features prints of three of history’s most masterful and legendary paintings – Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam, Botticelli’s Birth of Venus, and Rubens’ The Three Graces – applied to simple and sexy 90’s-inflected pieces like form-fitting tank tops, bodycon dresses, and flare pants.
Porodina brings her signature chromatic and saturated style to capturing her models, painting their faces and bodies with vibrant swathes of colored light. The color-bathed and flower-bedecked heroines pose in attitudes and positions inspired by the muses of the paintings, creating an artful and contemporary echo of the works that form the basis of the collection.
