Jean Paul Gaultier has announced Nicolas Di Felice, the renowned creative director of Courrèges, as its latest guest couturier for the upcoming Paris haute couture season. This collaboration marks Di Felice as the seventh designer to join Gaultier’s innovative program, where a new talent is invited each season to contribute their unique vision to the Paris couture house.

Di Felice expressed his excitement and honor on Instagram, sharing a glimpse of the collaboration through an image of himself donning a t-shirt emblazoned with “Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture By Nicolas Di Felice.” The announcement was met with widespread acclaim from peers within the fashion industry, signaling high anticipation for his collection.

Since stepping into his role at Courrèges, a fashion house under the Kering Group, Di Felice has received high praise, especially from French fashion insiders, for rejuvenating the brand with his critically acclaimed collections. His innovative approach and distinctive aesthetic have significantly bolstered Courrèges’ position in the fashion world.

The tradition of Gaultier’s guest couturier series commenced in July 2021 with Chitose Abe of Sacai and has since featured other distinguished designers like Glenn Martens and Olivier Rousteing. Di Felice’s collection is set to be unveiled during the couture week scheduled for June 24 to June 27, a date adjustment made to accommodate the Paris Olympics. Historically, Gaultier’s guest couture shows take place at the label’s iconic headquarters on rue Saint Martin, continuing with Di Felice’s presentation on June 26.
