Winter 2022 Ad Campaign

Review of Jimmy Choo Winter 2022 Ad Campaign by Photographer Angelo Pennetta and Video Director Paul McLean with models Iris Law, Mica Argañaraz, and Stan Taylor

As winter weather begins to descend upon the outside world, there’s no better way to warm up than a bit of indoor festivity. Jimmy Choo brings this spirit to life with its new campaign for Winter 2022, which was captured by photographer Angelo Pennetta with film direction by Paul McLean.

Shot on location at London’s luxurious Claridge’s hotel, the imagery exudes a mood of indulgent and elegant warm winter joy. Embodied by Iris Law, Mica Argañaraz, and Stan Taylor, our protagonists pose in neoclassical hallways or opulent staircases in compositions that subvert the festive and familiar group dynamics of Christmas cards. Meanwhile, other shots in bedrooms offer a more intimate suggestion of cuffing-season togetherness. With a visual and textural palette of velvet, glossy leather, festive fringe, and warm knits, the head-to-toe styling also goes a long way to draw out the glamorous character and elegant possibilities of the star shoes and handbags.

The accompanying short film finds the narrative behind these still photographic vignettes, following the characters as they explore the space with big smiles and transform it into their own personal party pad, complete with a disco-funk party soundtrack.

Infusing that signature Jimmy Choo elegant edge with a welcome spirit of winter warmth, the campaign is a timely celebration of sparkle and fun.
