Italian lingerie house taps former Gucci executive to guide its next phase of growth.
Luxury Holdings appoints former Gucci and Valentino executive Alessio Vannetti as Chief Executive Officer for La Perla, where he will lead the Italian lingerie house’s next chapter. Effective September 1st, Vannetti will oversee the label as it continues to rebuild its global presence.

Vannetti brings vast experience across luxury fashion, having held senior brand, communications, and marketing roles at Gucci, Zegna, Valentino, and Prada. He most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer for Gucci before departing in late 2024. His background is built upon the intersection of commercial strategy and creative brand development, aligning with La Perla’s efforts to reestablish itself in today’s luxury market.
The appointment follows several months of operational stabilization under Paolo Vannucchi, who helped restore continuity after Luxury Holdings acquired La Perla. Vannucchi will remain involved as an advisor to support the transition, while Vannetti works to build a long-term strategy in an effort to rebuild the brand’s positioning and international relevance.
As La Perla continues its turnaround, Vannetti’s appointment underscores the growing importance of brand leadership in luxury. His experience across some of fashion’s largest houses suggests the company’s next chapter will focus as much on strategic positioning as operational recovery.
