LIM College Unveils Graduate School Expansion

LIM College Expands Master’s Programme with Launch of ‘The Marcuse School of Graduate Studies

Leading fashion business school Laboratory Institute of Merchandising (LIM) College has unveiled its strategic move to enhance its master’s degree offerings through the establishment of ‘The Marcuse School of Graduate Studies.’ This dedicated graduate school will house a spectrum of master’s programs, encompassing both new additions and refined versions of existing offerings, with these changes slated to take effect in the upcoming autumn of 2024.

Named after the institution’s founder, Maxwell F. Marcuse, the restructured graduate school aligns with LIM College’s vision of equipping graduates with the skills and expertise needed to meet the evolving demands of employers in the dynamic fashion industry. According to Elizabeth Marcuse, President of LIM College, this development aims to create a stronger linkage between education and real-world professional requirements.

Under the stewardship of Eda Sanchez-Persampieri, Dean of Graduate Studies, the revamped programs are meticulously designed to reflect contemporary industry trends and requirements. A pronounced emphasis on technology and analytics has been incorporated, while specializations related to sustainability and digital media marketing are integrated to cater to evolving market needs.

The offerings now include master’s degrees in global fashion supply chain management, fashion marketing, and fashion merchandising and retail management. Moreover, LIM College will continue to offer its existing STEM-designated programs, such as the MS in consumer analytics, ‘The Business of Fashion,’ and ‘The Business of Cannabis.’

Highlighting the educational approach, Sanchez-Persampieri emphasized, “LIM master’s degree programs are designed to help move careers forward. Students are immersed in the business and fashion capital of the world, learning directly from, and making key connections with, the professionals who make fashion and lifestyle happen.” This strategic transformation positions LIM College as vital in preparing future fashion industry leaders to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape.
