Collection Overview
Nicolas Ghesquière explored the relationship between movement, technology, and modern dressing in Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, presented at Paris Fashion Week on October 6, 2026. Titled Ergonomie, the collection imagined an optimistic future through clothing designed to move naturally with the body.
Moving away from the heavier structures of previous seasons, Ghesquière introduced a lighter approach to silhouette and construction. Fluid jersey dresses followed the body’s contours, while technical nylon, soft draping, and streamlined shapes brought a sense of freedom and movement to the runway.
The collection balanced these softer elements with more architectural designs. Minimalist jackets, structured outerwear, geometric embellishments, and iridescent details created a contrast between futuristic experimentation and everyday wearability.
The presentation reinforced the house’s longstanding connection to travel. At the Cour Carrée du Louvre in Paris, suspended automobiles transformed the runway setting into a vision of future mobility, connecting Louis Vuitton’s heritage with Ghesquière’s forward-looking design language.
