Review of Michael Kors Spring 2025 Fashion Show

THE COLLECTION
THE VIBE
Focused finesse. Considered craft.
With his Spring 2025 show, Michael Kors balanced monochromatic purity with playful applications of Italian craftsmanship that made for a fitting – albeit none too surprising – celebration of 35 years since the collection has been made in Italy.
Centered around a crisply tailored silhouette with a belted waist, the first half of the collection featured a black and white color palette that matched the focused simplicity of the quiet riffs on classic shirting and tailoring. Nonetheless, a sense of resort-minded ease was present in fringe elements, and this spirit deepened as a few earthy colors entered along with intricate floral embellishments.
As this collection again reminded us, Michael Kors may not be the designer for youth appeal, but a runway appearance from Dahyun of Twice is a guaranteed way to get fresh eyes on the brand.
THE DIRECTION
THE WRAP UP
Michael Kors has understandably set into a rhythm after 35 years, and this collection felt like a familiar product of staying safe and sticking close to that brand identity. But the subtly whimsical craft touches offered a peek at a slightly more playful or even experimental side, which we wonder if we’ll get to see more of in the future.
