MIU MIU TALES & TELLERS - PANEL CONVERSATIONS

Miu Miu Hosts ‘Tales & Tellers’ Panel Conversations at Art Basel Paris

The Event Brought Together Filmmakers and Artist for Discussion at the Palais D’Iéna

As part of the Art Basel Paris Public Program, Miu Miu held a series of panel discussions titled “Tales & Tellers” on October 16th and 17th at the historic Palais D’Iéna. The event brought together filmmakers and artists to explore contemporary themes of womanhood and the role of storytelling in modern life.

Curated by Elvira Dyangani Ose, the panels delved into how audiences can transform into storytellers themselves, encouraging deeper engagement with the narratives being presented.

The Tales & Tellers discussions continue the practice of cross-disciplinary collaboration present in Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales film series and the Miu Miu Literary Club. The panels featured conversations with a wide range of filmmakers and artists, including Ava DuVernay, Catherine Martin, Janicza Bravo, Haifaa Al-Mansour, and Chloë Sevigny. The discussions touched on the personal journeys, adversities, and dreams of these creators, offering insights into how contemporary life and womanhood are evolving.

The exhibition, which is open to the public until October 20th with free admission, is an immersive experience. Conceived by artist Goshka Macuga, Tales & Tellers integrates Miu Miu’s ongoing collaborations in art and film, providing a space for reflection on the complexities of storytelling and the power of art to connect past, present, and future experiences.
