The Designer Attends Private Event with Top Customers and Celebrates New Installations
Neiman Marcus recently hosted designer Ulla Johnson for an exclusive dinner with top customers at Dallas’ Nasher Sculpture Garden. Johnson, founder and creative director of her eponymous brand, was in the city for her first customer event at the invitation of the luxury retailer, which has partnered with her line since 2021.
The event highlighted a recent expansion of the partnership, with Neiman Marcus and Ulla Johnson unveiling seven resort styles and two custom in-store installations. These displays celebrate the launch of Johnson’s new collection, with artwork-inspired installations at Neiman Marcus NorthPark in Dallas. The collaboration is part of Neiman Marcus’ “Retail-tainment” approach to elevate the in-store shopping experience with unique brand activations.
Guests were welcomed with cocktails at the Nasher Sculpture Garden, home to renowned works from artists like Calder, Giacometti, Matisse, and Picasso. Neiman Marcus Chief Merchandising Officer Lana Todorovich introduced the event, emphasizing the retailer’s focus on building relationships that connect valued brand partners with customers. “Through the strength of our relationships, we are able to connect our most coveted brand partners with our discerning customers,” Todorovich said. “We are honored that Ulla partnered with us for this exclusive customer event. Her spirited and feminine designs resonate deeply with our clients, and we are excited to continue to grow our partnership.”
Johnson expressed her enthusiasm for the occasion and the opportunity to connect with Dallas-based clients in a setting that reflects her brand’s aesthetic. “I’m delighted to present a little of our world at the heart of Neiman Marcus, with an installation at NorthPark, its hometown. Celebrating our partnership within the Nasher Sculpture Garden, an environment uplifting nature and contemporary art, feels at once familiar and inspiring. I’m so happy to meet our Dallas community,” she said.
As part of the celebration, Neiman Marcus customers can explore the Ulla Johnson collection online, in-store, and through the brand’s remote shopping platform. Neiman Marcus NorthPark’s second floor now hosts two curated displays of Ulla Johnson’s designs, and on October 24, customers will receive a hand-tied floral bouquet with any purchase, while supplies last, marking Johnson’s first visit to Dallas.
