Skims Names Tracy Nguyen Chief Communications Officer

The executive expands her responsibilities to oversee global communications, entertainment, sports, and brand partnerships while remaining co-general manager of NikeSkims

Skims has promoted Tracy Nguyen to the newly created role of Chief Communications Officer, expanding her responsibilities as the brand continues to grow its communications and partnership strategy.

Nguyen will continue to lead global communications while taking on oversight of entertainment, sports, and brand partnerships. She will also remain co-general manager of NikeSkims, the joint venture between Skims and Nike that launched earlier this year.

The promotion follows more than two years with the company. Since joining Skims as Executive Vice President of Communications and Entertainment, Nguyen has led the brand’s global communications strategy and played a key role in several of its highest-profile initiatives, including the launch of NikeSkims. In 2025, she was named co-general manager of the partnership, adding operational responsibilities alongside her communications role.

“Tracy has been an incredible partner and leader,” said Kim Kardashian, Skims co-founder and Chief Creative Officer. “She understands the brand at its core—how to protect it, grow it, and put it in front of the right audiences at the right moments.”

In her expanded position, Nguyen will oversee celebrity and talent partnerships, sports collaborations, brand partnerships, and cultural activations, broadening a role that increasingly connects communications with business development and brand strategy.

Before joining Skims, Nguyen served as Chief Brand Officer at KKW Brands, where she worked closely with Kardashian across her portfolio of businesses. She also co-founded Industry Public Relations and previously held leadership positions at People’s Revolution, 5W Public Relations, and Sunshine Sachs.

The appointment comes as Skims continues to expand beyond its original shapewear business. Since launching in 2019, the company has grown into categories including menswear and has increasingly relied on partnerships and cultural collaborations to drive brand visibility. Nguyen’s expanded role places a single executive in charge of many of the functions responsible for those initiatives, bringing communications, entertainment, sports, and partnerships under one leadership structure.
