The move strengthens the communications group’s production capabilities as luxury brands increase investment in content and storytelling
The Independents has acquired Paris-based production company Phantasm Group, adding film, content, and creative production expertise to its growing network of luxury-focused agencies. The acquisition expands the group’s portfolio to 23 companies and reinforces the strategy of providing integrated services across events, communication, content creation and creative consulting.

Phantasm Group specializes in film production, branded content and creative storytelling for luxury, fashion, beauty and cultural clients. The company has built its reputation through the development and production of campaigns, films, and visual content that helps brands communicate across an increasingly fragmented media landscape.
The acquisition continues a period of sustained expansion for The Independents, which has spent recent years assembling a portfolio of specialized agencies across public relations, events, experiential marketing, hospitality and creative services. The group’s previous acquisitions have included agencies such as Lucien Pages Communication, Bureau Beatrice, and Sunshine, reflecting a broader effort to offer luxury clients a wider range of services under a single network.
The timing of this acquisition reflects a growing shift in how luxury brands approach communications. As brands produce increasing amounts of content for social media, digital platforms, events and branded experiences, production capabilities have become increasingly important. Campaigns now extend across multiple channels and formats, requiring agencies to support everything from strategy and communications to content creation and distribution.
For The Independents, adding Phantasm strengths a capability that has become central to luxury marketing. Film and original content are playing a larger role in how brands build identity, engage audiences, and communicate beyond traditional advertising. By bringing production expertise in-house, the group is better positioned to support clients seeking integrated campaigns that combine communications, experiences, and content.
