Jacobs captures models Xie Chaoyu and Ella Rattigan as they embark on a familiar narrative of a holiday ski trip threaded throughout with unexpected, playful details. Wearing cute holiday sweaters and cozy faux-fur accessories, they hit the slopes, walk a husky through the snowy landscape, or relax for a meal after a big day of ski runs. But rather than a typical Christmas turkey, their repast consists of french fries and bloody marys. Other strange yet fun details emerge as well, like in the portrait where the two wear cones of colorful translucent plastic over their heads.
Blending classic and cozy holiday style with a subtly surreal sense of fun, the campaign is a cute ode to dressing up and letting it all hang out for the holidays.
