Angus Munro was born and raised in the United Kingdom and attended Eton College before going on to gain a degree in Modern European Studies.
After university Angus became the Head of New Faces at Elite Premier in London before going on to become the Head Booker of the Main Board where he helped manage some of the world’s top models. Supermodels like Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and Christy Turlington were all Elite Premier models.
Angus left the world of model management after being head-hunted to exclusively cast for the world-famous photographer, David Sims, a position he would relish and continue in for four years before starting up his own casting company, AM Casting.
AM Casting quickly grew into one of the most prolific global casting agencies. Angus has a unique advantage over other casting directors due to the wide range of disciplines and casting aesthetics he is involved in and has the capacity in which to thrive.
He casts top fashion shows during all the major runway seasons and in wider markets such as China, Japan and Korea.
Editorially, he has been on the masthead of top magazines including i-D, Document and POP and a regular contributor to innumerate Vogue publications worldwide. Recently casting an entire issue of Italian Vogue shot by Mario Sorrenti.
He works closely with brands across the fashion and luxury spectrum on their seasonal campaigns, lookbooks, content shoots, TV commercials and events including Adidas, Estée Lauder, Calvin Klein, H&M, Versus, Banana Republic, DKNY, Off White, Acne, Levi’s, Uniqlo, Ivy Park, L’Oreal, Gap, Agent Provocateur, Nike, Esprit, Sephora, Zara. Mango and Diesel to name but a few.
In the last ten years Angus has been featured many times in the media fromVogue.com to CNN and was awarded a Scottish Fashion Award in 2011. The Impression Magazine named Angus as one of the 250 most important creators in the fashion business.
