Since the late 2000s, Daniel Jackson has been a leading figure in fashion editorial and advertising, widely recognized for his capacity to apply the language of classical portraiture to the genre of fashion photography. His work is notable for its range: Jackson is as adept directing his subjects within minimal studio environments as he is on dramatic location sets. His collaborations with Acne Paper have been celebrated for revealing the possibilities of choreography and human gesture within the photographic moment.
In 2018, Jackson contributed work to the exhibition VOID at Red Hook Labs, an initiative by 1 Granary to expose the work of new fashion designers through the photography of internationally acclaimed image makers. His work was also included in The Eye of the Beholder, an exhibition at 80WSE Gallery exploring over 100 years of eye aesthetics and the pursuit of ideal beauty.
