Review of Saint Laurent Denim Fall 2021 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello with Photographer Gray Sorrenti with Talent Zoë Kravitz
Zoë Kravitz serves looks and keeps it cool in a new denim campaign for Saint Laurent, captured by photographer Gray Sorrenti.
Kravitz has previously worked with Saint Laurent and its creative director Anthony Vaccarello a number of times, from appearing in campaigns to collaborating on a line of lipstick.
For the new denim campaign, she exudes her signature air of effortless cool. Sorrenti captures Kravitz in a series of straightforward black-and-white portraits, styled in pieces ranging from elegantly sexy minimalism – a sequined, knit bralette – to ostentatious glam – a strapless feathered dress. Accessories are kept to a minimum, and leather (denim’s best friend) makes a few supporting appearances.
The simple and consistent denim campaigns are a smart way for Vaccarello to maintain a cohesive and focused brand image in highlighting straightforward staples, while also providing a platform for exciting celebrity appearances that expand the brand’s identity and reach. Famed for both her off- and on-duty style, Zoë Kravitz makes an excellent addition to this roster, and the campaign is one of the strongest examples of the approach yet.
