Fall 2022 Ad Campaign

Review of Dior Fall 2022 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Margot Populaire of Agency Baron & Baron and Photographer Alice Mann with models Emi Stankovic, Greta Hofer, Isheja Morella, Jiali Zhao, Manuela Sanchez, Maryel Uchida, Naomi Ekindi, & Steinberg

Dior focuses on sisterhood, style, and strength with its new Fall 2022 campaign. The campaign features creative direction from Margot Populaire, art direction by Andrew Young, and photography by Alice Mann.

Dior women’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s direction for the pre-fall collection explores and subverts traditional and contemporary ideas of girlhood and femininity, taking school uniforms as its sartorial basis and giving them a sharp-edged, tomboyish twist.

Picking up on this theme, Mann’s group photographic compositions create a powerful feeling of sisterhood. Captured in a simple, industrial space, the house’s familiar cast of models exude a feeling of power, confidence, and togetherness as they pose in coordinated looks that feel like a uniform or set of armor for taking on the modern world.

The campaign hits an impressive visual balance of staying simple and focused while radiating the power and poise that inspires both the collection and the wider Dior vision.
