Review of Louis Vuitton ‘Objets Nomades’ 2022 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière with Photographer Philippe Lacombe, Tommaso Sartori & Grégoire Veille
Discover Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades, a line of travel-themed furniture and accessories created in partnership with prominent designers throughout the world.
For the Objets Nomades Collection, Louis Vuitton has commissioned renowned designers from all over the world to create experimental yet useful furniture pieces and other things since 2012. Each limited-edition item, from a hammock to a foldable stool, an armchair to a room screen, pushes and beyond the limits of leather to highlight the Maison’s devotion to complex workmanship and imaginative invention. The collection simultaneously celebrates the defiantly modern visions of a varied group of international designers and pays respect to Louis Vuitton’s special orders from the past, such as the legendary Bed Trunk made in 1874 for French adventurer Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza.
For Louis Vuitton, some of the most well-known designers in the world have produced Objets Nomades, including India Mahdavi, Marcel Wanders Studio, Patricia Urquiola, Campana Brothers, Atelier O, and many others. Each Objet Nomade represents the meeting of a designer’s artistic vision with Louis Vuitton artisans’ creative skills, bringing together distinct expertise to craft entirely novel travel objects.
