Demna Will Take to the City of Angels for a December Showcase to the Stars
Joining the allure of California’s vibrant fashion scene, Balenciaga is set to showcase its fall 2024 men’s and women’s collections with a fashion show in Los Angeles on December 2. While the exact venue and intricacies remain shrouded in secrecy, anticipation for this event is already driving social media buzz.
Notably, this isn’t the first time Balenciaga’s visionary creative director, Demna, has chosen an American city as the backdrop for unveiling a new collection. During the resort 2023 season in May 2022, the brand left an indelible mark with its runway show on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, featuring models adorned in full latex suits, accentuated by striking ponytails, braids, and dramatic fake eyelashes.
Balenciaga enthusiasts will also have another fashion spectacle to look forward to during Paris Fashion Week, scheduled from September 25 to October 3. when Demna will present the brand’s summer 2024 collection.
It appears that the Kering-owned fashion house is leading the charge in initiating the sprawling pre-fall collection season, which often incorporates captivating destination shows. Fellow French fashion house Chanel will also be showing its next Métiers d’Art collection in December on the 7th in Manchester, England.
