Review of Louis Vuitton ‘Horizons Never End’ Fall 2023 Ad Campaign by Creative Directors Robert Lussier & Mia Forsgren of Agency The Style Council with Photographer Glen Luchford and model Fei Fei Sun
Louis Vuitton continues its “Horizons Never End” series, this time bringing the campaign’s celebration of artful travel to chilly new latitudes for a timely exploration of seasonal adventure. The campaign features creative direction from Robert Lussier and Mia Forsgren of The Style Council with photography by Glen Luchford.
This wintry chapter of the adventurous series finds model Fei Fei Sun on a journey through the French Alps in pursuit of a mountain escape from city life. Luchford’s shots feel both tranquil and action-packed as they follow the protagonist from train car to snow-capped peak, her LV Horizon luggage in tow evincing the status of the brand’s monogrammed trunk as an iconic emblem of travel and possibility.
The accompanying short film puts this journey in motion and makes nice use of drone footage to further emphasize the sense of sweeping scale. David Bowies’ “Heroes” once again provides the soundtrack and links the campaign back to its previous chapters, which featured explorations of Paris and Miami with big stars like Lionel Messi and Gisele Bundchen.
With the right planning and cohesion, a campaign series is an excellent way to broaden brand equity and draw fans in with a narrative that continues to build off itself – especially when it comes to highlighting perennial products like signature luggage and bags that may not get the refreshed seasonal hype of big runway collections. This latest installment shows that “Horizons Never End” is true to its name, as Louis Vuitton always calls us back to follow that spirit of adventure.
