Valentino’s Internal Academy Continues to Shape Future Artisans and Celebrate Couture Excellence
Maison Valentino proudly unveils the 2023 edition of “La Bottega dell’Arte,” a testament to its unwavering commitment to preserving Haute Couture excellence and nurturing the skills of future artisans.
Established in 2015 in the heart of Rome, “La Bottega dell’Arte” serves as Valentino’s internal academy, seamlessly blending the Maison’s rich past with contemporary craftsmanship. The program, launched in October 2023, unfolds in a renewed space at Valentino’s historic headquarters in Rome.
Over nine months, students, guided by former première and seasoned seamstresses from the Atelier, delve into the brand’s heritage, mastering tailoring techniques while actively participating in the preparation of two Haute Couture fashion shows. The culmination sees students presenting their final projects to Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.
This immersive training experience underscores Valentino’s unique position as Italy’s premier Maison de Couture, spotlighting its timeless creative DNA. The program reflects Valentino’s dedication to empowering young talents through education, aligning with its broader mission of giving back.
Valentino’s commitment to education received accolades at the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2023, where it was honored with “The Education of Excellence” award. This recognition acknowledges Valentino’s tangible efforts in shaping the future careers of emerging talents, reinforcing its role as a pioneer in sustainable fashion education.
