Review of Veronica Beard ‘Hollywood Hustler’ Spring 2024 Ad Campaign with Photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank, with model Blanca Padilla
Veronica Beard serves up a sunny vision of on-the-go glamor in its new Spring 2024 campaign, shot by photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank.
As the campaign’s title “Hollywood Hustler” suggests, the campaign makes no bones about playing to the aspirational LA rich girl aesthetic. Model Bianca Padilla embodies a Hollywood starlet as she goes about her busy day, from stopping by a magazine stand on her way to the studio, to getting some shopping in (at the Veronica Beard boutique of course), to chilling by the pool in the late afternoon, usually with paparazzi in the background.
The approach picks up on a trend that has suddenly emerged of the paparazzi campaign, which we have also recently seen from Bottega Veneta and GCDS. Each brand, however, has done strong work to put its own stamp of identity on the format, with Veronica Beard’s latest example nicely embodying the brand’s vision of a sophisticated, on-the-go woman.
