Review of Dior “Le Baume” Spring 2024 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Aurelie Piette-Pyvka and Photographer Lebon Bourgeois with models Jisoo, Emma Raducanu, and Nonso Ojwuku

Advertising skincare and beauty products can provide a bit of a challenge – especially when it’s something like lip balm that, when worn, is pretty much invisible. Dior offers a new perspective on how to rise to this challenge that relies on mega-celebrity and familiar branding at larger-than-life proportions.

Shot by photographer Lebon Bourgeois with creative direction from Aurelie Piette-Pyvka, the new campaign for the brand’s Le Baume lip balm stars Blackpink member Jisoo and tennis star Emma Radacanu, as well as model Nonso Ojukwu (an important addition to exemplify the gender neutrality of the product). These radiant young people pose in an airy space with supersized versions of the already statement-sized packaging, which bears an iconic pink houndstooth pattern and CHRISTIAN DIOR branding. There’s nothing like some logomania and K-Pop fandom to position your product as the summer’s go-to moisturizer.
