Bottega Veneta Opens Miramar Beach Storefront in Montecito, CA

Bottega Veneta has made a stylish entrance into a quaint store near the lobby of the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel, just in time for the summer season. This new 900-square-foot space at the five-star luxury resort in Montecito, California, exudes an Italian Mediterranean charm with its beige stucco exterior and sunlit large windows.

Inside, the store showcases a variety of men’s and women’s products, from handbags and jewelry to clothing. It highlights in particular the luxury brand’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection and the Summer Solstice collection, which includes handbags, jewelry, shoes, and swimwear unveiled earlier this year.

The interior design of the new location draws inspiration from the coastal architecture of Mediterranean seaside villages in Italy, seamlessly blending with California’s aesthetic. Venetian marmorino plaster, made from natural limestone, powdered marble, and fine sand, adorns the space. Palladiana terrazzo, organic stone slabs commonly found in Italian villas, adds a touch of elegance, while teak wood elements and white terracotta tiles enhance the earthy texture of the space.

Founded in 1966, Bottega Veneta chose this location due to the year-round influx of tourists at one of Montecito’s most exclusive resorts, home to notable residents like Oprah Winfrey and British royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Developed by shopping center magnate Rick Caruso, the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel has been a magnet for high-end tourists since it opened five years ago. Guests are willing to pay $1,400 a night to enjoy the seaside hotel’s 119 rooms and 34 suites spread over 16 acres. Bottega Veneta joins an elite group of luxury retailers at the hotel, including fellow Italian brand Brunello Cucinelli, jeweler Laykin et Cie, the Webster, and Goop Sundries.
