Fashion Group International Announces Night of Stars Honorees
Fashion Group International has unveiled the honorees for its 40th annual Night of Stars event, set to take place at The Plaza hotel on October 15.
Taking home the Fashion Visionary Award is Reed Krakoff, creative chairman of John Hardy, previously known for his work at Tiffany & Co., Coach, and his namesake brand.
LaQuan Smith, luxury fashion designer and CEO of his eponymous brand, will receive the Fashion Vanguard Award for his figure-hugging designs worn by A-list celebrities.
Max Mara will be honored with the Design Heritage Award, accepted by Maria Giulia Prezioso Maramotti, the brand’s omnichannel retail director.
Harry Kargman, founder and CEO of Kargo, will be recognized with the Humanitarian Award, acknowledging his efforts in combatting poverty in New York City.
Fern Mallis, president of Fern Mallis LLC, will receive the FGI Founders’ Award for her contributions to the fashion industry.
The Beauty Award will go to Catherine Bomboy Dougherty of The Estée Lauder Cos.
Marc, Heidi, Charli, and Dixie D’Amelio will be honored with the Media Award for their social media and reality TV success, launching D’Amelio Brands in 2022.
The Night of Stars event will be hosted by three honorary chairs: designer Zac Posen, model and entrepreneur Coco Rocha, and Gap CEO Richard Dickson.
