Eva Erdmann appointed as President and CEO of Kate Spade

Tapestry has named beauty specialist Eva Erdmann as the new president and CEO of Kate Spade. Erdmann, who previously worked at L’Oréal, will start in her new role in October, succeeding Liz Fraser.

Erdmann will report to Tapestry’s CEO Joanne Crevoiserat and join the company’s executive committee. Tapestry, which owns brands like Coach and Stuart Weitzman, has been in the process of acquiring Capri Holdings.

Described as a “highly talented leader and brand builder,” Erdmann will focus on driving consumer connections and global growth. With a background in engineering and marketing, Erdmann has a successful career in the beauty sector, working at L’Oréal and Christian Dior Parfums.

Joanne Crevoiserat, CEO of Tapestry, expressed confidence in Erdmann’s ability to lead Kate Spade to future success. Erdmann’s experience in cultivating desire for luxury brands makes her an ideal leader for the iconic label. Crevoiserat thanked Liz Fraser for her work and vision for the brand.
