Yohji Yamamoto and Sarah Moon present the publication: "Dialogue"

Yohji Yamamoto and Sarah Moon Launch Collaborative Photobook, ‘Dialogue’

The Book Features Previously Unpublished Photographs by Moon Capturing Yohji’s Designs

Yohji Yamamoto has partnered with photographer Sarah Moon to release a special-edition photobook. Titled Dialogue, the book charts the collaboration between the designer and the photographer, which goes back to the 1990s.

Spanning 84 pages, the book showcases 45 photographs, the majority of which are being published for the first time. Presenting Moon’s ethereal style in both color and black and white, the images include shots of 90s collections as well as collections from the last five years. The book features a minimalist black Swiss binding and is adorned with a corvon cover that includes hot-stamped flaps.

The publication begins with a revealing dialogue between Yamamoto and Moon, shedding light on their artistic synergies and mutual dedication to capturing the essence of the moment. “What fascinates me about your work is that, most of the time, you drape the woman in black, and yet… each time you find another way of doing it,” Moon remarked in a conversation with Yamamoto.

Dialogue will be available in bookshops from November 27th.
