CEO Marco Gobbetti and Ferragamo to Part Ways

Upcoming Split Between Salvatore Ferragamo SpA and CEO Marco Gobbetti

Salvatore Ferragamo SpA announced that it has mutually agreed with CEO Marco Gobbetti to terminate their employment and directorship relationships, effective March 6, 2025.

Chairman Leonardo Ferragamo expressed his gratitude towards Gobbetti, stating, “I would like to thank Marco Gobbetti, who in recent years has set up and developed a significant brand renewal and evolution activity, as well as significant product innovation and brand positioning, while also carrying out important work on the organizational evolution of the company and the group, which is the basis for continuing the renewal strategy.”

Gobbetti, who took over the helm at Ferragamo in January 2022 after leaving Burberry, had previously held the CEO position at Burberry from July 2017. His early career included a tenure as CEO of Moschino, followed by 13 years at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton where he was the CEO of Givenchy, collaborating with Riccardo Tisci. He later moved to Celine, where he worked alongside Phoebe Philo.

Recently, Ferragamo reported a 10.5 percent decline in revenue for 2024, totaling 1.04 billion euros. This downturn was primarily attributed to decreases in its wholesale channel and in the Asia-Pacific market, which saw a significant drop of 19.7 percent.
