Veuve Clicquot and Jacquemus Toast to Women With Sunny New Collaboration
In a collaboration that celebrates joy, legacy, and feminine strength, Veuve Clicquot has partnered with Simon Porte Jacquemus to reimagine La Grande Dame 2018, the Champagne house’s prestige cuvée. Unveiled during New York Fashion Week with a campaign by Jonas Lindstroem and Jack Davison, the release pays tribute to Madame Clicquot herself—one of the earliest female entrepreneurs in modern history—and marks the 25th vintage of the cuvée, first introduced in 1972.
The collaboration fuses the optimistic, sun-soaked spirit of Jacquemus with Veuve Clicquot’s heritage of craftsmanship and innovation. From the vibrant yellow label inspired by the brand’s original 1877 hue to a bespoke cooler modeled after Medici vases, the project infuses everyday ritual with sculptural whimsy. A fish-shaped trompe l’œil handle and white linen bottle wrap nod to Jacquemus’s Mediterranean roots, while embossed sun rays and handwritten logos lend a personal touch.
Each bottle blends 2018 Pinot Noir grapes into a luminous, saline fizz, while a hyper-limited sculptural edition—produced in collaboration with renowned Parisian metalsmith Camille Orfèvre—includes a trio of vintages (2018, 2012 Magnum, and 1990 Jeroboam). Only 50 of these sets will be made, requiring over 40 hours of artisanal work per piece.
Set for U.S. release on September 9, with U.K., Italian, and French rollouts to follow, the collection champions the convergence of heritage, celebration, and design. At its heart is a tribute to the enduring power of women—those who lead, inspire, and lift a glass to joy.
