The limited-edition collection spans ready-to-wear, accessories, and collectible pieces
Stella McCartney hosted an intimate evening at her SoHo boutique in New York to celebrate the launch of her latest collaboration with artist Jeff Koons, a limited-edition, collectible capsule spanning consciously crafted ready-to-wear, handbags, and accessories.
The event centered on a live conversation between Koons and writer and cultural commentator Derek C. Blasberg, who discussed the artistic inspirations and key works behind the collection. The discussion was followed by a cocktail reception, with the boutique transformed through installations inspired by Koons’ visual language and featuring pieces from the capsule displayed throughout the space.
Guests included Michael Avedon, Fabiola Beracasa, Mickey Boardman, Alina Cho, Jennifer Creel, Robert Denning, Lydia Fenet, Amy Fine Collins, Ivy Getty, Sharon Horowitz, Stella Jones, Justine Koons, Kurt Koons, Mick Koons, Scarlet Koons, Sean Koons, Elizabeth Kurpis, Marilyn Minter, Destry Spielberg, Grace VanderWaal, Zachary Weiss, Arden Wohl, and others.
A limited number of platinum bracelet pendants were available to purchase during the evening, each a scaled-down version of Koons’ iconic Rabbit sculpture, a motif first reinterpreted by Stella McCartney in 2005. Guests could also shop framed scarves signed personally by Koons.
These exclusive items, along with a selection of pieces signed by both Koons and McCartney, will be available exclusively at the brand’s New York boutique. Each piece is uniquely customized with hand-applied detailing, including lead-free crystals and fringing. In addition, a curated selection of T-shirts hand-signed by Koons will be available online at stellamccartney.com.
The Stella McCartney x Jeff Koons limited-edition capsule is available now in Stella McCartney boutiques worldwide and online.
