The Swedish Fashion House Marked Three Decades With An Intimate West Village Celebration And Performances By 070 Shake And Fcukers
Acne Studios celebrated its 30th anniversary in New York with an intimate gathering at a private residence in the West Village, bringing together figures from fashion, music, art and entertainment to mark three decades of the Swedish fashion house.
The evening centered on music, beginning with an intimate performance by 070 Shake, followed by Fcukers and a set by Papi Juice.
The guest list reflected the cross-disciplinary creative community that has long surrounded Acne Studios. Troye Sivan, Paloma Elsesser, Iris Law, Honey Dijon, Yaeji and Eartheater attended alongside actors Rosanna Arquette, Jemima Kirke, François Arnaud and Benito Skinner.
Also among the guests were Ego Nwodim, Sarah Sherman, Chloé Wise, Peter Schlesinger, Aurel Schmidt, Florian Krewer, Durga Chew-Bose, Abraham Thomas, Vivian Wilson, Pacifico Silano, Alex Knost, Bader Kabbani, Bernie Martinez, Julez Smith, Sydney Lemmon, Nimay Ndolo, Zsela, Loring Randolph, Scott Rothkopf, Devyn Garcia, Brittany Byrd, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie and Ben Quinn.
Rather than staging the anniversary as a large-scale corporate event, Acne Studios chose the setting of a private West Village home, giving the evening the character of a house party and placing music and art at its center.
That setting was complemented by works from a notable group of artists, including Francesco Clemente, Andy Warhol, Frank Stella and Julian Schnabel, further connecting the celebration to the worlds of contemporary art and culture that have frequently intersected with Acne Studios’ identity.
Founded in Stockholm in 1996, Acne Studios has grown from an independent creative project into an international fashion house while maintaining close connections to photography, art, architecture and music. Its 30th anniversary arrives as the brand enters its fourth decade, with the New York gathering offering a deliberately personal way to acknowledge the milestone.
