Alex White

Alex White is one of the most respected and influential stylists in the fashion industry.

Alex’s career spans almost three decades. She has styled shoots for top fashion magazines with world-renowned photographers and designers. She started her career as a Fashion Editor at Harpers & Queen London (now Harper’s Bazaar) where she worked with McDean, Sorrenti and Sims. In 1994, she joined W Magazine as Fashion Editor and later became the Fashion Director, a position she held until 2011. During her time at W, Alex produced award-winning fashion editorials with Mert & Marcus, Testino, Luchford, Inez & Vinoodh, Weber, Roversi, Meisel. Her exemplary cutting-edge work with these magazines gave her opportunities to refine and define iconic luxury brands like Burberry, Prada, and Louis Vuitton.

In 1995, Miuccia Prada approached Alex to style both her fashion shows for women and critically acclaimed campaigns with Glen Luchford for men and women.

From there, she joined Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton where she helped define the “Vuitton Woman.” She then moved to Chanel where she designed campaigns with Karl Lagerfeld for four years.

Selected by Miuccia Prada to be one of the first Prada “Iconoclasts,” Alex conceptualized the Guggenheim store in Soho New York for fashion week. More recently, Alex has been involved in the creative direction for advertising campaigns for Nina Ricci and Oscar de la Renta as well as styling their seasonal collections. She has contributed to editorials with US Vogue, Vogue Paris, Vogue China, and continues to style for Vogue Italia.

In 2015, Porter Magazine appointed Alex as their US Fashion Director.
