Review of Amiri Pre-Fall 2023 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Mike Amiri
Amiri adventures into oceanside elegance with the new campaign for its Pre-Fall 2023 collection.
The collection introduces a special collaboration with the Eden Rock hotel on the Caribbean Island of Saint Barthélemy, an iconic, luxury vacation destination founded in the 1950s. In addition to its graphic adorning a selection of pieces from the collection, this lush locale provides the inspiration for the campaign’s seaside setting.
An elevated ease pervades the strong yet abstract sense of space created by a minimal structure that overlooks the sea. Occupying this open-ended space, the young protagonists embody the brand’s synthesis of languorous luxury, utilitarian references, and Americana inspiration. The accompanying video deploys slow motion and a soundscape that weaves together ambient music and the sounds of crashing waves and seagulls to deepen the dreamy mood.
At once adventurous and effortless, the campaign is a crisp statement of Amiri’s take on the modern menswear moment.
