Balenciaga Pioneers Fashion Innovation with Apple Vision Pro App
Balenciaga has launched the first phase of an application developed for the Apple Vision Pro, an unprecedented spatial computing tool available in mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Japan, and Singapore starting June 28th, and in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom starting July 12th.
The Balenciaga app can be downloaded on this newly introduced device—a wearable, immersive computer powered by visionOS, an operating system navigated using eyes, hands, and voice. Among other activities, the Balenciaga | Apple Vision Pro app lets users experience the Balenciaga Spring 25 show, staged in Shanghai on May 30th, in an entirely unique way. Exclusive drone views and stereoscopic footage are supplemented with an interactive lookbook feature and access to past collection content. This exploration in another dimension offers users the opportunity to see Balenciaga creations in a virtual space that echoes the detail and artistry of the brand’s physical garments.
Since Demna’s appointment to the House in 2015, Balenciaga has embraced a variety of digital initiatives that showcase a commitment to experimentation and innovation, working within the spaces where fashion and cutting-edge technology overlap or inform one another.
The Apple Vision Pro represents a leap in spatial computing, allowing unprecedented levels of immersion, precision, and performance. The Balenciaga | Apple Vision Pro app uses a simplified, intuitive interface that focuses on content interactions to better integrate with the expansive ecosystem.
Developed in collaboration with Atomic Digital Design, Balenciaga will continue to explore the opportunities of this technology through future content updates and new features that provide exceptional ways of engaging with the brand.
