Burberry Opens Corner Bistro Pop-Up in New York

The temporary activation celebrates Burberry’s “A Good Sport” campaign and runs through June 28 with a program of football screenings and events

Burberry has launched a takeover of Corner Bistro in New York’s West Village, transforming the long-running neighborhood institution into a branded destination tied to its latest campaign, “A Good Sport.” The activation opened with a viewing event for England’s opening football match of the summer and will continue through June 28 with a series of live sports screenings and related programming.

The opening event brought together guests including Burberry Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee alongside Adam DiMarco, Bethann Hardison, Ella Emhoff, Indira Scott, Kelley O’Hara, Kristina O’Neill, Lynn Yaeger, Myha’la, Olivia Ponton, Richie Shazam, Rose Lavelle, and Zanna Roberts Rassi. Attendees watched the match while enjoying a menu that combined British-inspired refreshments with Corner Bistro’s signature burger and fries.

The pop-up extends the themes of “A Good Sport,” a campaign centered on the communal culture of football fandom. Burberry has incorporated branded elements throughout the venue, including bar stools wrapped in its House Check pattern, pint glasses featuring the Equestrian Knight Design, custom coasters, and additional visual details referencing the campaign.

Located at the corner of West 4th Street, Corner Bistro has been a fixture of New York dining and bar culture for more than six decades. By partnering with a recognizable local institution rather than creating a standalone branded environment, Burberry connects its British heritage and football-focused campaign to an established community gathering place.

The activation reflects the continued use of hospitality and cultural programming by luxury brands to create immersive experiences around seasonal campaigns. For Burberry, the project further supports Daniel Lee’s ongoing effort to emphasize British identity and shared cultural touchstones across the brand’s marketing initiatives.
