Review of Calvin Klein Fall 2021 #mycalvins ‘Chapter 1’ Ad Campaign by Creative Director Cedric Murac and Photographer Quentin De Briey with models Emily Miller, Malika El Maslouhi, and Tyler Blue Golden
Calvin Klein celebrates the everyday beauty of the streets, apartments, and – most importantly – people of New York City in a new Fall 2021 campaign by creative director Cedric Murac and photographer Quentin De Briey.
De Briey follows his subjects from their bedrooms, out onto the street, and back again, with corresponding outfit changes from underwear to denim. The photographer captures both the intimate indoor shots and the energetic outdoor shots with the same documentarian simplicity and reverence.
Though the campaign doesn’t change up anything about the usual #mycalvins formula, the brand doesn’t need to – underwear and denim are forever, and this campaign affirms this truth by looking for and finding the simple beauty in the everyday.
