Carlo Capasa Re-Elected as President of Camera Della Moda

Capasa Continues in the Role He’s Held Since 2015 to Lead Italian Fashion’s Governing Body

Carlo Capasa has been re-elected as the president and deputy councillor of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana for another two years. The decision was made at the assembly of Italy’s highest fashion authority on June 28. Capasa, who has been in this role since June 2015, has been praised for his efforts in promoting Made in Italy brands globally and advancing initiatives on sustainability and inclusivity.

The new Board of Directors of the Chamber was also elected for the 2024-26 term, with familiar faces from the top Italian fashion houses. However, there were also some changes, with Fabrizio Cardinali of Etro being replaced by Roberta Benaglia, vice-president of MSGM. Additionally, Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglu of Fendi and Jean-François Palus of Gucci have joined as new directors from LVMH and Kering, respectively.

The next two years will see the board comprising of 15 members, including key figures like Patrizio Bertelli of Prada, Alfonso Dolce of Dolce & Gabbana, and Renzo Rosso of OTB. Honorary Chairman Mario Boselli will also be part of the board, supporting Capasa in leading Italy’s fashion industry through challenging times in the luxury goods market.
