Celine unveils the campaign for its Baie des Anges Summer 2022 women’s collection. Dreamily dripping with Celine’s signature effortlessly sophisticated style, the campaign features models Kaia Gerber, Patrycja Piekarska, and Diana Silvers captured as always by creative director Hedi Slimane.
Slimane captures the young model in richly appointed interiors and among the avenues and rocky shorelines of Nice, France. The collection’s blend of Parisian cool girl high-low style is right at home among the delicate and dreamy compositions.
The campaign is a sophisticated and thoughtful accompaniment to the collection’s runway show, which was presented off-calendar via film. With its rich black-and-white and subdued neutral tones and feeling of relaxed interior decadence, this latest campaign provides subtle contrast and complement to the sunny energy of the runway film. Celine has been doing a great job recently of blurring content boundaries and leveraging runway assets into ongoing campaigns, and the Baie des Anges release is another strong example of this smart approach.
