Fall 2021 Ad Campaign

Review of Celine Fall 2021 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Hedi Slimane

Celine’s Fall 2021 women’s campaign, captured as always by creative director Hedi Slimane, is a strong and straightforward look at what is sure to be one of the season’s most successful collections.

Slimane’s photography comprises a mix of full-body portraits and detail shots, the simplicity of which works well to convey a strong sense of the character of the collection. One of the strongest statements of Slimane’s vision that we’ve seen to date, the collection fuses Parisian chic with a bit of youthful, street-ready edge.

Alternating between structure and free-flowing forms, long dresses and coats are married to chunky boots and boxy bags; chiffon blouses peek from angular blazers. Wide-leg jeans have been slowly replacing skinny for the past couple years, and now we see that the style is officially in. Slimane combines his extra-wide, high-waisted jeans with cropped sweaters for a graceful silhouette, then finishes the look off with a statement jacket.

Interspersed through the collection imagery are moody headshot portraits of the newest crew of uniquely striking Celine girls, driving home the statement that for this season, Celine owns the cool-girl look.
