Chanel Appoints Sandra Hüller as House Ambassador

The German actor joins the House following acclaimed performances across film and theater

Chanel has named German actor Sandra Hüller as its newest House Ambassador, further strengthening the brand’s ties to international cinema and contemporary cultural figures.

Hüller has become one of Europe’s most recognized actors in recent years through performances in films including Anatomy of a Fall, The Zone of Interest, and Rose, the latter earning her the Silver Bear at the 2026 Berlinale. Her role in Anatomy of a Fall also received a César Award, while the actor earned international recognition following the film’s awards season success and Academy Award nomination. Upcoming projects include Fatherland and Digger.

“Chanel’s distinctive style is a blend of tradition and boldness,” Hüller said in a statement. “Matthieu’s approach to his craft echoes values like authenticity, innovation, and a respect for heritage that doesn’t fear reinvention.”

The appointment also marks another high-profile ambassador announcement under Chanel Creative Director Matthieu Blazy, who praised Hüller’s artistic approach and screen presence. “Sandra stands out as an intense and magnetic actor,” Blazy said. “She possesses a sense of elegance, intelligence, and a fearless independence.”

Known for taking on psychologically layered and unconventional roles across both stage and screen, Hüller’s appointment aligns with Chanel’s continued focus on actors whose work reflects a balance of artistic credibility and international visibility.
