Chanel shares a new Cruise 2022 campaign by photography duo Inez and Vinoodh that sparkles in the sun with a delicate ferocity.
The cohesive styling merges irreverent punk-rock glamor with classic Chanel sophistication, and executes it all in a consistent color scheme of black and white, with metallic and jeweled details. While the neutral tones are perhaps not what we might expect for a resort-ready cruise collection, they look quite striking against the white sands and blue skies and sea of the coastal location.
The neutral color scheme also means that the few spots of color in Inez & Vinoodh’s compositions delicately bloom and burst. They smartly arrange the models so that one is much closer to the camera and one is more distant, creating a deep and dynamic sense of space while providing a look both at intricate details and total silhouettes.
It’s another strong campaign from Chanel that sees the house flex its confidence in doing what it does best on its endless cruise of iconic style.
