Chioma Nnadi Appointed as Head of Editorial Content at British Vogue

Condé Nast has named Chioma Nnadi as the head of editorial content for British Vogue. She will begin her new role overseeing British Vogue on October 9th, and will be based in London. Nnadi will take over the role from Edward Enninful.

Nnadi has 13 years under her belt at Vogue, where she started as a writer, rose to the post of fashion news director, and most recently took over as editor of the magazine’s digital arm, where she leads a team of editors and writers and directs the digital content for the title. Condé Nast shared that Vogue has seen tremendous audience growth under Nnadi’s leadership, driving record-breaking engagement across site and social media. She has also overseen the digital coverage of the brand’s milestone events including the Met Gala, Forces of Fashion, and Vogue World. Her recent cover stories on Rihanna, Cara Delevigne, and Erykah Badu have been among Vogue’s most successful, and she serves as the co-host for the Vogue podcast, The Run-Through.

Speaking to the appointment, Nnadi said, “I’m beyond excited and honoured to have been appointed as British Vogue’s Head of Editorial Content. As someone who was born and raised in London, the energy of the city—its boundary-pushing style and creative scene—has shaped the way I look at the world. Now, more than ever, it feels like a moment to look beyond borders while also celebrating the broad scope of what it means to be British. I’m looking forward to engaging a loyal and inspired digital community that is energised by our access, point of view, and storytelling.”

Nnadi, a London native of Nigerian and Swiss-German descent, began her career on the features desk of the Evening Standard Magazine in the UK before moving to New Y‍‍‍ork to write for Trace, an independent style magazine. She then went on to cover the intersection of fashion and music as the style director at the New York-based Fader. She joined Vogue in 2010.

Speaking to the appointment, Edward Enninful said, “I am so thrilled that Chioma is joining British Vogue – she is a brilliant and unique talent with real vision, who will take the publication to ever greater heights.”
