Review of Chloé Fall 2023 Ad Campaign with Photographer Zoe Ghertner with models Devyn Garcia and Raquel Zimmermann
Chloé explores the intersection of art, nature, and womanhood in its new campaign for Fall 2023. The campaign was lensed by photographer Zoë Ghertner with art direction by Peter Miles.
Captured at the white lunar beaches of Sarakiniko in Milos, Greece, the campaign imagery mirrors the fluid and opulent lines of the collection. In designing this season, Gabriela Hearst referenced the 17th-century artist Artemisia Gentileschi, who overcame biases around women’s creative potential to emerge as the most celebrated woman artist of the Italian Baroque.
The accompanying short film leans into the dynamic motion of wind and sea spray, creating a vivid breath of life that feels both timeless and vitally of the moment.
Lending an artful and feminist direction to the celebration of natural elegance that has characterized Hearst’s time at the house, the campaign feels like pure Chloé.
