Through close collaboration with fashion’s most renowned photographers, David James has created some of the industry’s most enduring and memorable images. 

For the past two decades, David James has art directed numerous campaigns for Prada, in addition to other high profile clients including Dior, McQueen, & Dunhill.

As creative director of Another Magazine, he has become known for innovative use of both imagery & typography. 

His work is rooted in conceptual thinking coupled with craftsmanship, an ethos which underpins both his practice and that of his studio DJA.

DJA is a creative agency founded by James in partnership with Sara Hemming and John McCauley. DJA works in collaboration with luxury brands to develop coherent, aspirational and effective visual communications.

Together with partner company, Alias, DJA works across all media to provide creative direction, filmmaking, design, packaging, branding and digital development. Their collaborative and collective efforts result in innovative advertising campaigns, rich editorial content and credible brand communication.
