Gap Launches Football-Inspired Collections With Ouigi Theodore

The collaboration connects sport, heritage, and global fan culture through apparel and accessories rooted in football identity

Gap has launched two football-inspired collections for Summer 2026 created in collaboration with Ouigi Theodore, founder of The Brooklyn Circus and a longtime creative partner of the brand. Timed to coincide with this summer’s major international football tournaments, the releases explore the cultural influence of the sport through themes of heritage, community, and identity.

The first launch, titled OuiGap, arrives on May 29 and features apparel and accessories designed by Theodore. The collection draws inspiration from global football style and includes jerseys, jackets, knitwear, and coordinated separates marked by recurring “74” graphics referencing Haiti’s national football team, which qualified for the world stage in 1974. Theodore, who was born in Haiti the same year, incorporates personal references tied to diaspora, sport, and New York street culture throughout the collection.

“There’s something powerful about seeing global sport, heritage, fashion, and art come together,” Theodore said in a statement. “The collection we designed with Gap was created in that spirit.”

Alongside OuiGap, Gap has also released a separate football-themed capsule collection centered on international fan culture. The assortment includes jerseys, hoodies, T-shirts, and hats representing countries including the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, France, England, Brazil, and Japan.

The collections continue Gap’s recent strategy of aligning with cultural collaborators to expand its relevance across fashion, sport, and music communities. The campaign imagery, creative directed by Theodore and photographed by Ackime Snow, features a cast representing what Theodore describes as a “global village,” emphasizing football’s role as a shared cultural language across borders.

To support the launch, Gap and Theodore will host a community-focused event in New York this June bringing together football, fashion, music, and cultural programming.

The OuiGap collection launches May 29 on Gap’s online platform and in selected stores, while the international team capsule is available now across a range of global markets.
