Gucci Adds Marcello Mastrogiacomo as VP of Digital Marketing and Media

The Strategic Hire Forms Part of the Brand’s Executive Restructuring

Gucci’s ongoing restructuring under deputy CEO Stefano Cantino includes the appointment of Marcello Mastrogiacomo as vice president of digital marketing and media. Mastrogiacomo will start on November 25 and will report to Valérie Leberichel, Gucci’s newly appointed senior vice president of global communications. This strategic hire is seen as part of Gucci’s commitment to strengthening its digital presence and cohesive brand narrative across platforms.

Mastrogiacomo brings over 17 years of experience in global marketing, having previously held the role of senior vice president of communication, media, and image at Armani Beauty Global within L’Oréal. His career path includes positions at P&G Prestige France and Coty, where he directed global communication strategies for prestige fragrance brands, including Gucci. He later joined Dior Parfums as global digital and consumer engagement director, where he honed his expertise in digital content.

According to a source familiar with Gucci’s strategy, Mastrogiacomo is expected to “craft a unique and cohesive brand narrative, defining Gucci’s voice, and overseeing content creation across all digital platforms.” His appointment reflects Gucci’s focus on digital transformation as it navigates competitive pressures in the luxury market.
