Julien Dossena will be the guest designer for Jean Paul Gaultier’s Haute Couture

The Brand Names the Paco Rabanne Creative Director as the Next Featured Guest Designer to
Create a Couture Collection

Julien Dossena has been announced as the next guest designer to present a couture collection
for Jean Paul Gaultier. Now in his tenth year as creative director of Paco Rabanne, Dossena will
be the fifth guest designer to present a couture collection for Gaultier. His Fall 2023 collection
also marks the first time that Puig, which owns both brands, has drawn from within its own
ranks.

Dossena follows Haider Ackermann, Olivier Rousteing, Glenn Martens, and Chitose Abe, who
each delivered collections that earned a lot of attention and critical praise as they brought their
own design perspective to Gaultier’s iconic DNA. The collection marks Dossena’s couture
debut, and as his most recent collection for Paco Rabanne paid homage to the designer’s use
of nontraditional materials, powerful femininity, and future-forward thinking, we expect that his
treatment of the JPG legacy will be rich and exciting.
