Fall 2019 Ad Campaign by M/M Paris & Tyler Mitchell

JW Anderson is in high step mode with his latest campaign by long-time collaborators Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag of M/M Paris.

There is quite a bit of newness to the campaign from 24-year-old photographer Tyler Mitchell to first-timer models Krisha, Djeneba, Rose, and Enomha, who were street cast especially for this project. Mitchell grew up in Marietta, Georgia and in the ninth grade, he purchased a Canon camera and taught himself to make skate videos. Fast forward to attending New York University Tisch School of the Arts and studying with Deborah Willis and the newbie found himself lensing Beyoncé with her portrait purchased by the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery.

The teams juxtaposition of the models in slits with the tall grass of the English countryside is ripe for analogies regarding the rise of new artist. Suffice it to say we are delighted the campaign feel elevated and fresh, puns intended.

Anderson has long been a champion of nascent talent and it is exciting to see the designer continue his course of support. Too that we say ‘keep high stepp’in’ Mr. Anderson.
