Khaite Launches Apres-Ski Capsule

The designer heads to the slopes in an exclusive collection on their website and at Mytheresa

Emerging at the peak of Resort 2023 is a collection within a collection dedicated to the art of Après-Ski. Launching on khaite.com and Mytheresa, the 17-piece collection by Catherine Holstein proposes a reimagined winter wardrobe. United by a graphic monochrome palette accented by saturated, ski-patrol reds, the layers range from articulated metallic outerwear and luscious cashmere cardigans to technical knitwear and rubber-soled boots laced for speed with elasticated toggles.

At the sharper end of the spectrum are streamlined pieces inspired by the engineered base layers and glossy puffed shells of skiwear. The classic black turtleneck is reimagined as a sleeveless bodysuit and sleek top, both in stretch cotton jersey made memorable by a play of high-contrast angular forms that evoke snow-covered mountains and inverted black diamonds. A trio of black pants, each offering a distinct silhouette, gains structure from zippers and French seams that are exposed rather than concealed, while a zip-front, stand- collar anorak is elevated by microfaille: compact yet fluid.

The pleasures of après-ski are approached not only via slope-side chalets but also through memories of ski school and snow bunnies, as Fair Isle patterns are updated by magnified scales, fresh hues, and pure cashmere. On an enveloping wrap-front knit coat, the lively patterned rows are juxtaposed with solid panels of decisive ribbing and extended blouson sleeves. The beloved Scarlet cardigan debuts in rich Carmine, setting the tone for a range of fiery accessories, including a rounded hobo bag in shearling bringing the capsule full circle.
