Loro Piana Opens Its First Latin American Boutique in São Paulo

The Italian Luxury House Makes Its Brazilian Debut at Shopping Cidade Jardim, Bringing Together Italian Craftsmanship and Brazilian Design

Loro Piana has opened its first boutique in Brazil, marking the Italian luxury house’s official entry into Latin America. Located within São Paulo’s Shopping Cidade Jardim, the new store introduces the brand’s signature approach to materials, craftsmanship and understated luxury to one of South America’s most important fashion markets.

Tthe boutique represents a significant step in Loro Piana’s international retail expansion. The location brings the house’s ready-to-wear collections and accessories to Brazilian customers through a space that combines its Italian heritage with elements of local design.

The storefront makes an immediate architectural statement. Its deep burgundy façade is covered in handmade, glazed terracotta ceramic tiles produced in Italy, with a textured surface inspired by the movement and softness of Loro Piana fabrics. Finished in the house’s signature Kummel color, the tiles create an unusual visual interpretation of the textile expertise for which Loro Piana is known.

Inside, the single-level boutique adopts a warmer, quieter atmosphere. Oak paneling, carabottino wood detailing and soft lighting establish a residential character, while a palette of beige, burgundy and earthy neutrals reflects the house’s familiar aesthetic. Rather than relying on overt displays of luxury, the interior emphasizes the materials themselves.

The entrance opens onto women’s accessories and handbags, with a textile wall dedicated to Loro Piana’s printed scarves. Adjoining spaces present women’s ready-to-wear and footwear, furnished with upholstered seating and natural wood surfaces.

Brazilian design provides an important counterpoint to the Italian architectural vocabulary. A wooden armchair and coffee table by the late Polish-Brazilian architect and designer Jorge Zalszupin introduce a connection to the country’s modernist design heritage.

That dialogue continues in the boutique’s private client room, an appointment-only space designed for both women’s and men’s customers. Here, a sculptural chandelier by Egyptian-Brazilian artist Elvira Schuartz, composed of amber-toned glass, provides a dramatic focal point. Seating upholstered in sage-green Loro Piana Interiors cashmere introduces another layer of texture, complemented by locally sourced wood furnishings.

The menswear areas follow a similarly restrained approach, with navy and gray accents, wood finishes and marble detailing. A dedicated lounge features Brazilian design pieces alongside upholstered seating, extending the boutique’s emphasis on hospitality and personal service.

The store opens with Loro Piana’s Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collection, featuring the house’s signature cashmere, Baby Cashmere, The Gift of Kings wool and Pecora Nera wool, alongside silk, tweed and other refined textiles. The collection’s soft silhouettes and rich seasonal colors reinforce the connection between the clothing and the tactile qualities of the surrounding architecture.

The choice of Shopping Cidade Jardim places Loro Piana within an established luxury retail destination in São Paulo. Opened in 2008, the shopping center has developed a reputation for its international fashion offering and its integration of retail, dining and landscaped spaces.

For Loro Piana, the opening extends its physical presence into a new region while maintaining the highly controlled retail environment that has become central to its identity. The boutique is designed to introduce Brazilian customers not only to its collections, but also to the craftsmanship and material knowledge behind them.

The result is a store that communicates the house’s heritage through its architecture as much as its merchandise. In São Paulo, Italian textile traditions meet Brazilian modernism, creating a setting that feels distinctly Loro Piana while acknowledging the design culture of its new home.
