Mulberry Introduces the Stevie Bag

Photographer Stevie Dance captures a colorful New York cast united by a shared name and Mulberry’s newest bag

Mulberry is introducing its new Stevie bag with a campaign that takes the name quite literally. Photographed in New York by Stevie Dance, the playful series assembles a colorful cast of characters who share one thing in common: they are all named Stevie.

Shot on location across the city, the campaign uses that coincidence as a loose exploration of connection and identity. Its Stevies arrive at the name through very different routes, from one who was named following her mother’s lost bet to a Maria whose boyfriend happens to be a Stevie. The group even includes the designer behind the bag itself, extending the naming conceit from the campaign’s subjects to the product’s origins.

Accompanying candid films give each participant space to explain their own relationship with the name, lending a personal dimension to an otherwise simple premise. Dance’s approach keeps the campaign rooted in individual personalities rather than forcing its eclectic cast into a single prescribed image of the Mulberry customer.

The bag connecting them is a new everyday silhouette offered in regular and small sizes. Designed around Mulberry’s recognizable Postman’s Lock, the Stevie balances a soft construction with a more structured sensibility, reflecting the brand’s familiar interplay between practicality and polish, heritage and modernity.

It is a straightforward product launch elevated by a clever bit of casting. Rather than constructing an elaborate mythology around a new handbag, Mulberry finds its story in the people who happen to share its name — turning the Stevie into both the subject of the campaign and the thread connecting everyone within it.

The Mulberry Stevie launches September 14, 2026.
